dolboedPandher and Koli were arrested this month on charges of raping and murdering the victims following their abduction from the nearby Nithari village over two years. Residents say at least 38 people, mostly children, have disappeared from the area and that police ignored their complaints that the children were missing. The Noida police has sacked six mid-level personnel and suspended three officers following the allegations of negligence. Media reports say Koli admitted during interrogation that he had raped children as young as three years old, had had sex with corpses of his victims and had once tried to eat human organs believing cannibalism cured impotency. He said he acted alone.
